Mexican Stuffed Shells

Mexican Stuffed Shells

Sometimes I can’t decide between Italian or Mexican for dinner. I know it’s a sad problem to have. Oh the struggles of my life! Lucky for me I didn’t have to choose between the two with this delicious recipe for Mexican Stuffed Shells. I love anything stuffed in jumbo shells, […]

Kabocha Squash and Salmon Laksa

Kabocha Squash and Salmon Laksa

I love that Goma Greens includes uncommon vegetables in their box like Kobacha Squash. Not everyone will know what to do with the squash, so Christina asked me to come up with a  recipe which highlights squash. It took a bit of research and thought to develop a delicious recipe […]

30 Minute Chicken Enchilada Pasta Soup

30 Minute Chicken Enchilada Pasta Soup

On the weekends I don’t want to fuss around in the kitchen all day, although I do tend to be in there for a while. I find myself making cakes and snacks for the rest of the week, but I really try to not spend hours making dinner. As I […]

Red Cabbage Potato Indian Tikki

Red Cabbage Potato Indian Tikki

I’m on a bit of an Indian kick right now. Sometimes I find Indian food to be a little too heavy. I can enjoy a bowl of it, but that’s all. To eat it a few days in a row, probably would not happen. Until I stumbled across this little […]

Red Lentil Curry Soup

Red Lentil Curry Soup

It’s been too long since I’ve made Indian food. Not sure why. I used to do a schedule where one day was American, next day Lebanese, then of course pizza and sushi nights. The other days I just filled in as I went along. For some reason, Indian food just […]

Chicken Tawook Wontons with Garlic Tahini Sauce

Chicken Tawook Wontons with Garlic Tahini Sauce

To claim that I came up with this recipe would be a lie. I’m a true believer of giving credit where credit is due. So, it is my honour to admit that Mr. Nomad came up with the Chicken Tawook Wonton idea almost a year ago. It wasn’t until last night […]

Baba Ghanouj (Eggplant Dip)

Baba Ghanouj (Eggplant Dip)

Rule #1… You do not oven roast your eggplants. If you roasted the eggplants in the oven, you’re doing it wrong. All wrong. Authentic Baba Ghanouj has a smokey flavour that you can only achieve on a grill or directly on the burners of a gas stove top.

Rule #2… You DO NOT oven roast your EGGPLANTS!

Classic Arabic Syrup

Classic Arabic Syrup

Arabic Syrup slightly thicker than regular simple syrup. In the Arabic version, the syrup should thicken enough that you have to lick your fingers clean after picking up a Baklava or Harissa. By using a ratio of 2:1, you’re guaranteed to have the nice and thick syrup, not to mention it’ll thicken faster.

Khiyar bi Laban (Cucumbers in Yogurt Soup)

Khiyar bi Laban (Cucumbers in Yogurt Soup)

With summer just around the corner, it’s time to put away the big heavy stock pots and prepare cooling meals to help you beat the heat. Being the huge soup fan that I am, that means no more mushroom soups, squash soups, celery soups….. But who said soup had to […]
