Maybe this is the reason the scale keeps inching up higher and higher every week (or maybe it’s the cookies, cupcakes, heavy-cream potatoes…). But dips… Dips are definitely my favourite kind of food. Who can resist dipping a chip or carrot into a creamy dip of deliciousness? Not this food blogger- thats’s for sure!

It’s mild with a kick of curry spice. It adds a serious flavour boost to your homemade Indian curries, but I really thought Yellow Fever had the most unique and delicious taste.
A flavor that I couldn’t get anywhere else, so I just had to come up with a recipe to highlight the deliciousness of it! And I did just that! Yes that’s right- what goes together better than Christmas and Curry Sauce? Just you wait and see —
Well I am not one to lie… I made a dip that is a real show stopper! Using BYFO Yellow Fever Sauce this Hot Curry Chicken Dip is a must try! The magic of this recipe is the Yellow Fever Hot Sauce. It has just the right amount of heat and flavour and seriously compliments the bubbling hot cream cheese. It’s an oozy-gooey fantastic mess of flavours that I loooooove! It’s kind of like Hot Buffalo Chicken Dip, only 10X better because it’s different. How many events have you gone to with the buffalo dip served as an appetizer? Yes, it’s delicious but it can get old after a while, so really go ahead and try the dip with a curry sauce.
Why is perfect for the holiday season? Because it’s so easy to make. All you need to do is toss some shredded chicken with a bit off Yellow Fever, spoon it over cream cheese, top with a sprinkle of cheddar cheese and green onions and bake until it’s bubbly and hot.
Really, if you have shredded chicken in the freezer (how many times have I told you to always have a bag of shredded chicken in the freezer) this recipe is ready to go in 15 minutes. Serve the Hot Curry Chicken Dip with tortilla chips, celery and carrots and you’ll have an incredible appetiser that’s perfect for the busy holiday season.
If you do not have a bottle of Yellow Fever Hot Sauce, maybe it’s time you bought a bottle. But if you live all the way on the other side of the world, then you can substitute your favourite curry sauce for the Yellow Fever.

- 1 cup Shredded Chicken. cooked
- 8 ounces Cream Cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 4 tablespoons BYFO Yellow Fever Sauce (or any mild Curry Sauce if you do not have access to BYFO Yellow Fever Sauce)
- Green Onions, for garnish
- Preheat the oven to 350F
- Toss the shredded chicken with the BYFO Yellow Fever Sauce.
- In a small ovenproof dish spread the cream cheese. Spoon the chicken over the cream cheese.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle the cheddar cheese on top and bake until the cheddar cheese has melted
- Top with green onions..
- Serve with carrots, celery and tortilla chips
You can substitute your favourite Curry Sauce for the BYFO Yellow Fever Sauce, but if you're in Shanghai you really need to get a bottle or two! So delicious!
